The Center for International Environmental Law co-sponsors a briefing on the legal issues in the Ecuadorian case against Chevron

This briefing on the Ecuadorian case against Chevron is in conjunction
with Representatives Linda Sánchez, George Miller, and William
Delahunt , and co-sponsored by Oxfam America.
The briefing will be held on November 20, 2009 at 10.30am in the Rayburn
House Office Building, room 2220.
During the briefing, Jared Solomon of the law firm of Kohn, Swift & Graf will explain the legal issues in the case, the people impacted by Chevron's acts in the region, and Chevron's efforts to exclude Ecuador from the benefits of the Andean Trade Preferences Act. Jared Solomon is representing 30,000 Ecuadorians in a suit against Chevron for dumping 18 billion gallons of crude into the once pristine Amazon region in Ecuador.
