Daryl Ditz is Coordinator of the National Education Campaign for U.S. POPs Ratification. He has twenty years of U.S. and international experience tackling the environmental health threats of chemicals through effective public policy and corporate management. Previously he directed business engagement for the World Wildlife Fund's Global Toxics Program with a special focus on Europe. At the nonprofit Environmental Law Institute he established and led the India Program and organized educational workshops, study tours, and other programs involving judges, professionals, and activists in the U.S. and Asia. He is co-author of Frontiers of Sustainability (Island Press, 1997), Green Ledgers: Case Studies in Corporate Environmental Accounting (WRI, 1995), and numerous reports and articles on environmental law, policy, and management. He has conducted projects for the State of New Jersey, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Rainforest Alliance, the National Academy of Engineering, the Asian Development Bank and others. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin
and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University
for a comparative analysis of US and European management of hazardous
wastes.
