Theodoros Chronopoulos is an independent consultant advising NGOs and philanthropic foundations on corporate accountability; environmental justice; and social and economic rights. As a Principal Consultant for the Civil Society Programme of the C.S. Mott Foundation, Mr. Chronopoulos is helping build the capacity of activists in Eastern Europe and Russia to campaign on public participation and to reflect on their practice.
From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Chronopoulos led the Sigrid Rausing Trust’s (SRT) Social Justice Programme where he developed a portfolio of grants addressing human rights violations perpetrated in the process of economic development. Over this period the Programme gave more than ￡18 million in grants to organisations working at the interface of human rights, business and the environment.
Prior to joining SRT, Mr. Chronopoulos worked at the Canon Collins Trust and ActionAid UK. Mr. Chronopoulos holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics.
