C. Valencia Turner

Donor Engagement Associate

Valencia is CIEL’s Donor Engagement Associate. She executes creative online and offline engagement stewardship strategies, manages donor communications, and ensures accurate donor records.

Valencia graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Political Science and History and studied for her M.A. in History with a Public History Certification. Prior to coming to CIEL, she was the Development Associate for Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus and the Development Associate for the Institute for the Study of War. She has previously been a curatorial intern at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Christiansburg Institute.

In her free time, Valencia enjoys competitive bodybuilding and mutual aid activism.
